Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized cardiovascular nursing care within the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP unit, supporting device implants and ablation procedures. Ensure optimal patient outcomes through advanced skills and adherence to hospital policies.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care during device implants and ablation procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Monitor equipment such as GE Innova X-ray systems and GE MacLab Hemodynamic systems for optimal performance.
• Document patient progress and procedures accurately within the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient treatment plans.
• Maintain compliance with certifications including RCIS, ACLS, and BLS, and stay updated on unit-specific policies.
• Assist with the setup and troubleshooting of advanced cardiovascular devices and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Certified Cardiovascular Interventionist Specialist (RCIS) or Radiologic Technologist (RT R CV) credential.
• Possess minimum 2 years of recent experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency in device implantations and cardiac ablations such as SVT and Afib.
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills in high-pressure situations.
