Medical Science Liaison, U.S. Medical, Rare Disease-GPA/MPA & Sjögren’s Disease (NC/SC/VA)

Medical Science Liaison position focused on rare disease areas (GPA/MPA and Sjögren's Disease) covering North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. The role involves building relationships with healthcare providers and opinion leaders to advance scientific knowledge and patient outcomes through peer-to-peer engagement and clinical education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with opinion leaders and healthcare providers regarding Amgen's rare disease platform
• Engage population health decision makers to communicate clinical data, outcomes, and economic information
• Provide balanced clinical and scientific information while supporting sponsored and non-sponsored research liaisons
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other Amgen field roles to ensure coordinated customer engagement
• Maintain current clinical expertise, document field observations, and support congress activities and speaker training

Requirements

• Doctorate degree, OR Master's degree with 3+ years Medical Affairs experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 5+ years Medical Affairs experience
• Preferred: Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. degree
• Preferred: 5+ years in medically related field including 1 year clinical practice, research, or post-doctoral training
• Preferred: Expertise in rare disease (GPA/MPA) and/or Sjögren's Disease
• Strong clinical and scientific communication skills
• Ability to build sustained relationships with external healthcare stakeholders
