Principal Investigator in Clinical Research – Full Time

Job Overview: Our client is seeking to hire a board-certified MD or DO who has completed a Neurology, Psychiatry, or Geriatric/Internal Medicine residency in the United States to join their team as principal investigator (“PI”) in clinical research at an independent research location in Denver, Colorado . The research site administers a wide variety of Phase 2/3/4 drug research trials across multiple Therapeutic Areas, primarily in CNS and Psychiatry. Prior research experience as a PI, Sub-I, or Co-Investigator is required for this role.

This is a full-time, in-person role. There are no planned overnight or weekend hours.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide leadership and oversight of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with study protocols, FDA, IRB, and Sponsor requirements
• Screen and evaluate study participants, reviewing eligibility and ratings to ensure data integrity
• Maintain required licensure, credentials, and study documentation throughout each trial
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of safety events, noncompliance, and trial-specific updates
• Collaborate with research and operations teams to meet site performance goals
• Represent the site at Investigator Meetings, trainings, and educational seminars
• Travel to Investigator Meetings as needed

Requirements:

• Prior clinical research experience is required for this role
• Board-certified in Neurology, Psychiatry, Geritatric Medicine, or Internal Medicine with experience in Alzheimer’s and dementia research
• Valid license to practice medicine in Colorado (or license-eligible)
• A command of professional spoken and written English

Salary Range is $300,000 to $350,000 commensurate with experience.
