Quick Facts Location: Mount Vernon, Illinois Start Date: 09/07/2026 End Date/Duration: 12/07/2026 (with potential extension) Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Hours/Week: 40 hours Employment Type: Contract / Temporary Licenses/Certifications: MD/DO, BLS required Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $253.50 Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, travel, and related reimbursements upon request What You’ll Do Provide outpatient endocrinology consultation and management for adult and geriatric patients Manage common conditions like hyper/hypothyroidism, Graves’ disease, thyroid nodules, pituitary issues, and diabetes Perform fine needle aspirations (FNA) when needed Collaborate with skilled support staff including RN, diabetes educators, dietitians, and advanced practice providers Use EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient tracking Support clinic initiatives and patient education Participate in maintaining quality standards and patient safety What You Need Valid MD or DO license in Illinois BLS certification At least 1 year of clinical endocrinology experience (preferred) Strong diagnostic and patient communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision About the Assignment This outpatient endocrinology clinic specializes in managing a wide range of thyroid, pituitary, and metabolic conditions among adult and geriatric patients.
