Assistant Controller (Duluth Area)

Our client is looking to hire an Assistant Controller (Duluth area) to assist in the day to day management of the accounting staff under the supervision of a controller. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring procedures for A/R and A/P, including collections

Duties include the following:

Support most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.) • Manage A/R and A/P team • Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements • Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing • Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts • Participate in preparation for the annual audit • Help in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies • Review the company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances

Requirements:

• Proven minimum of 3 years of experience
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Managing a team of 5+ employees
• Data analysis and forecasting
• MS Office EXCEL and accounting software (e.g. SAP)
• Base salary up to 60k plus benefits
