Inpatient Speech-Language Pathologist

Inpatient Speech-Language Pathologist position available for a 4x10-hour day shift. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience. Candidates without travel experience are encouraged to apply. A valid Kansas Speech-Language Pathology license and BLS certification must be held at the time of application. The role involves working with adults and geriatrics with various diagnoses, including stroke, Parkinson's disease, and cognitive deficits. Daily patient census ranges from 10 to 14 on the speech caseload. Therapists will need to perform evaluations and treatments for rehabilitation patients with swallowing, language, and cognitive deficits. Candidates should be familiar with various assessment tools and procedures relevant to the field. The unit comprises an 18-bed rehabilitation area with 45-minute long treatment sessions. Interdisciplinary support is available to enhance patient outcomes. Experience in charting using specific electronic medical record systems is preferred. Floating to similar units within the scope may be required based on facility needs. Ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals is essential.
