COMSEC Account Manager

This role offers the opportunity to implement creative security solutions while ensuring national security requirements are met without slowing the pace of innovation.RESPONSIBILITIES:Independently manage COMSEC accounts, key issuance, and destruction proceduresPerform and oversee self-inspections, inventories, and compliance activities to company standardsOperate, troubleshoot, and configure End Crypto Units including the KG-175 suite, KGR-42, and KG-250 suitePrepare COMSEC deliverables such as security plans and key management plans with limited oversightInterface with customer counterparts at the security execution level and present to leadershipBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree; OR 3+ years of professional experience in COMSEC or a security field in lieu of a degree1+ years of experience in COMSEC or a security fieldPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:2+ years of experience with CNSSI 4005 & 4001, NCSM Vol. 2, NSA/CSS Manual 3-16, and related COMSEC policies and procedures1+ year of experience with systems including International Association of Privacy Professionals (iApp), Key Management Infrastructure (KMI), CARDS, CORE, and Distributed INFOSEC Account System (DIAS)Experience preparing security deliverables and identifying creative solutions that protect national securityStrong ability to work across departments and interface effectively with customer counterpartsExperience presenting to leadership and determining work priorities independentlyADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be willing to work in a classified environmentMust be willing to work extended hours and weekends as neededAn active clearance may provide the opportunity for you to work on sensitive SpaceX missions; if so, you will be subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testingThis position requires successfully obtaining and maintaining a Top Secret Security Clearance as a condition of employment. Should you be unable to obtain it, SpaceX reserves the right to modify or terminate your employment to align with operational needsCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Pay Range:Level 1: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00Level 2: $105,000.00 - $135,000.00Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
