As an end-to-end service provider, we can provide strategic advantages to our clients by offering legal support services at every stage of their legal proceedings. : Job Title: Medical Background and Public Records Investigator Position Summary: Bosco Legal Services, a Magna Legal Services company, is looking for a Medical Background and Public Records Investigator to join our investigations team. In this role, you will perform a variety of clerical related duties to assist us in identifying facilities where parties in a lawsuit may have received medical treatment. This information is then sent to our clients to assist in litigation cases. Our ideal candidate will be a team player who can work and communicate in a fast-paced environment, will have strong attention to detail, can work independently, can multitask efficiently, is an innovative thinker, and is punctual and reliable in work attendance. This role provides many opportunities for growth and the option to work towards a California Private Investigators license. Key Responsibilities: Taking inbound and outbound calls at large volumes from businesses (i.e., medical offices, law enforcement agencies, county recorders offices, medical examiners, etc.), including cold calls Transferring calls within the office Researching facilities using provided resources Composing emails to send to our clients. General data entry, updating files, and scanning documents. Working as a team to coordinate efforts to complete projects within tight deadlines Qualifications: An associate's degree is preferred. At least 1 year of general clerical work experience in an office setting is strongly preferred, and preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience to include heavy phone calling responsibilities (i.e., working in a call center, as a receptionist, etc.) Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs. The ability to type at least 30 wpm and strong note taking skills. Knowledge of the varying types of medical and law enforcement agencies. Knowledge of HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), preferred. Compensation: USD $19.00 - $21.00 per hour An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
