Position: RN - Pediatric

Department: Med Surg - 4N

Employment Type: Regular

Schedule: Full Time, Night Shift, 36 Hours/Week (7 PM - 7 AM), with every third weekend required.

Sign-On Bonus: Discuss available options with your recruiter! Please note that a two-year service commitment is necessary for external qualified candidates.

Preferred Experience: Familiarity with pediatric hematology/oncology is advantageous.

Shift Differentials: Available for night and weekend shifts.

Job Overview

The role involves delivering direct nursing care in alignment with the established policies, procedures, and protocols of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and oversee patient care plans, documenting and communicating patient conditions as necessary.
  • Act as the primary coordinator among various disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Execute physician and nursing orders accurately.
  • Evaluate and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
  • Maintain a vigilant and safe working environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing.
  • Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
Physical Requirements
  • Regular verbal communication to convey information.
  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling items weighing between 0-25 lbs.
  • Regular sitting, reaching, and data entry using a keyboard.
  • Frequent visual acuity for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, including color differentiation.
  • Regular olfactory recognition for detecting odors.
  • Frequent auditory skills to receive verbal communication and identify alarms or machinery issues.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of patients, as well as objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and repetitive movements of hands and legs.
  • Rarely required to crawl or run.
