Operating Room NurseWe are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team for a 13-week assignment in Idaho Falls, ID. This role requires strong surgical skills and the ability to handle trauma cases effectively.Unit InformationNumber of ORs: 13Staffing: M-F: 0630-1500 with 13 RNs / 13 CSTs covering up to 10 roomsAfternoon: 1500-1700 with 8 RNs / 8 CSTs covering up to 7 roomsEvening: 1700-1900 with 6 RNs / 5 CSTs covering up to 4 roomsLate Night: 1900-2300 with 3 RNs / 2 CSTs covering up to 2 roomsNight: 2300-0700 with 1 RN / 1 CST covering traumaWeekend: 0700-0700 with 1 RN / 1 CST covering traumaPatient Ratios: Average of 50 hours of surgical time Monday – Friday; weekends vary with a heavier workload on Saturdays.Electronic Medical Record: MeditechKey ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing care during surgical procedures in the operating room.Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and effective surgical outcomes.Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as necessary.Assist in the preparation of the operating room and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.Respond to emergency situations as required.QualificationsRequired: 3+ years of experience in the operating room setting.Experience with trauma cases.Flexibility for shifts and on-call duties.Preferred: CNOR certification.Experience with burn, robotic, and neuro procedures.Typical ProceduresBurn operations, including wound debridement and skin grafting.Dental surgeries and oral maxillofacial procedures.ENT operations, including tonsillectomy and parathyroidectomy.Gastroenterology procedures such as EGD and colonoscopy.General surgeries across a wide range of specialties.Gynecological surgeries, including hysterectomies.Neurosurgical procedures, including spinal fusions and craniotomies.Open-heart surgeries, including CABG.Ophthalmology procedures such as cataract surgeries.Orthopedic surgeries, including trauma and joint replacements.Plastic surgeries, including breast augmentations.Psychiatric procedures such as electroconvulsive therapy.Robotic surgeries across various specialties.Trauma surgeries, including damage control surgery.Urological procedures, including cystoscopy and TURP.Ideal Candidate ProfileOpen and outgoing personality.Ability to think critically and act decisively.Team player who fosters collaboration.Certifications RequiredBLS CertificationDress CodeAdheres to AORN standards.Client Details Address 3100 Channing Way State ID Zip Code 83404
