Job Description Kitchen Team – Salad & Munchie

You're a hard worker, a food lover, and a solid teammate. As Pantry Cook for Mellow Mushroom Grant Park, you'll learn each line from Salad/Munchie to Pizza/Expo. What's more, you'll have everyone's back. You aren't shy to jump in and help where needed. Whether it's some additional prep items needed or a crush of To Go orders, you rise to the challenge of getting the job done and getting it done right. Duties & Responsibilities

· Completes duties on opening, closing and prep checklists.

· Refers to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties.

· Prepares all food ingredients in accordance with Mellow Mushroom portion sizes and recipe specifications.

· Use our Recipe Cards for preparing all products.

· Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation including tables, shelves, walls, kitchen, and refrigeration equipment.

• Portion, prepare, and assemble menu items (Munchies, Greens, and Sweets) as requested.
• Possess a solid sense of timing; follow cooking and plating procedures to ensure each guest receives a timely, fresh meal.

· Perform basic kitchen duties and support the kitchen team during high volume periods of time.

· Follow proper nutrition and sanitation guidelines; promote food safety above all else

· Informs Management immediately of product/ingredient shortages and equipment and food quality concerns.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee.

· Frequent cleaning of FOH and BOH kitchen equipment and store equipment.

· Frequently required to stand for extended periods of time; sit, walk, bend and stoop.

· Frequently required to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to focus at night.
