Job Description Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end procurement operations, converting MRP planned orders into requisitions and purchase orders while overseeing the full PO lifecycle (confirmations, pricing, lead times, past due, and issue resolution). Maintain MRP and inventory integrity by setting parameters (safety stock, lead times, lot sizes), monitoring KPIs, and identifying opportunities for inventory reduction and optimization. Lead resolution of supply chain disruptions by proactively identifying shortages, escalating supplier issues, and collaborating cross-functionally to minimize backorders and operational impact. Support compliance and continuous improvement initiatives, including GMP/ISO adherence, change controls (ECOs), supplier development, and participation in product optimization and cost improvement programs. Coordinate closely with production planners, suppliers, and internal teams to communicate delivery schedules, expedite materials, resolve shortages, and address supply, quality, or invoice issues. Oversee supplier and item data management while monitoring performance, ensuring accurate pricing/deliveries, analyzing cost metrics (PPV, standard cost), and mitigating risks or variances. Minimum Requirements: Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities to drive effective resolutions Adaptable and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously through to completion Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration Solid understanding of sourcing, supplier management, inventory processes, and compliance (GMP, ISO, SOX) with a customer-focused approach Minimum Requirements: Certification (Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), APICS, ISM, CPIM, CIRM or CPSM) preferred Bachelor’s degree preferred, in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field with a minimum of 2 years Planning/Procurement/Logistics/Operations experience or Associates degree or 5 years’ experience without a degree High proficiency with Microsoft office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.) and Windows Experience with and knowledge of MRP/SCM/ERP systems At BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
