What You Could Do Here
At Paul’s Pharmacy, depending on your experience, interests, and the needs of the pharmacy, your role may include one or more of the following:

• Community and retail pharmacy practice
• Long-term care pharmacy services
• Nonsterile and/or sterile compounding
• Patient counseling and clinical problem-solving
• Medication review and drug utilization review
• Collaboration with prescribers, nurses, hospice providers, facilities, and other healthcare professionals
• Oversight and development of pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Pharmacy operations, workflow, inventory, and quality improvement
• Regulatory and compliance activities
• Pharmacist-in-Charge or pharmacy management responsibilities for qualified candidates
• Development of new pharmacy services and programs

You do not need experience in all areas to apply. We would rather find a pharmacist who is a strong fit for our organization and build upon that person's strengths than expect one candidate to check every box.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school or college of pharmacy
• Current Indiana pharmacist license in good standing, or eligibility to obtain Indiana pharmacist licensure
• Ability to perform the professional duties of a pharmacist in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements
• Strong attention to accuracy and patient safety
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, other team members, patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals

Experience That Would Be Helpful, But Is Not Required

We welcome applicants with experience in any of the following:

• Independent or community pharmacy
• Long-term care pharmacy
• USP <795> , <797> , or <800>
• Hospice or facility-based pharmacy services
• Pharmacy management or PIC responsibilities
• Immunization and clinical pharmacy services
• Medication synchronization or adherence programs
• Quality assurance or regulatory compliance
• Pharmacy technology and automation
• Training, mentoring, or developing pharmacy staff
• Natural and Alternative Health Coaching

 

Don't have experience in these areas yet? That does not automatically rule you out. We are interested in pharmacists who have a strong professional foundation and the willingness and ability to learn.

We also recognize that schedule matters. Our pharmacist positions offer a more predictable work schedule than many traditional retail pharmacy roles:

• Pharmacies are closed on Sundays
• Pharmacies are closed on major holidays
• Typical weekday hours: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Half day every other Saturday
• Pharmacists participate in a rotating on-call schedule

The on-call rotation supports our long-term care, hospice, and other patient care services. Much of the on-call work can be handled remotely, although occasional in-person response may be required depending on the situation.



 

For the right person, this can be more than filling an open pharmacist position. It can be an opportunity to find the part of pharmacy practice where you can make the greatest contribution, continue to grow professionally, and maintain a schedule that allows for life outside of work.



 

Position: Pharmacist

Typical Weekday Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Weekend Schedule: Half day approximately every other Saturday; closed Sundays
Holidays: Closed major holidays
On-Call: Participation in a rotating pharmacist on-call schedule is required
Location: Evansville, Indiana
Compensation: $124,000 - $149,000

Specific responsibilities, schedule, primary work location, and on-call rotation will be determined based on the position offered and the candidate's qualifications, experience, and interests.
