Occupancy Specialist - Affordable Housing Location: Syracuse, NY Company: CRM Rental Management, Inc. CRM Rental Management, Inc. is seeking an Occupancy Specialist for Clinton Plaza Apartments in Syracuse, NY. Benefits 11 paid holidays (including 1 floating holiday & the day after Thanksgiving) Excellent health insurance with employer contribution. 401(k) with match up to 5% Competitive salary Annual performance reviews with bonus potential PTO accruing from your first day Responsibilities Organize and maintain property and resident certifications, re-certifications, vouchers, verifications, and monitor monthly rental payments. Maintain monthly lease renewals, prepare all necessary documentation, conduct interim and annual re-classifications or lease renewal signings according to policies and procedures. Review rental applications and make resident decisions in accordance with Resident Selection Plan, Rental Criteria and all applicable laws and regulations. Handle and monitor all EIV monthly reports, EIV for re-certifications, criminal and background for EIV. Prepare 236 Excess Income accounts (if applicable) in addition to reconciling security deposit/withdrawal accounts with designated banking institution. Perform MINC's submissions and approvals. Qualifications Must have 1-3 years' experience in the HUD/LIHTC/RD/Affordable Housing field. Position requires good rental leasing, financial bookkeeping skills. Good communication skills, confident, and positive attitude. Must be proficient with Microsoft Programs and On-Site Rental System. Must be able to pass a 3-year background check.
