About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with United Health Care Staffing to find a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Dublin, Georgia, 31021!

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to help patients regain mobility and function
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, balance, and coordination
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
• Document patient progress accurately and communicate effectively with the therapy team
• Operate and maintain therapy equipment, ensuring a safe and clean environment
• Adapt treatments to meet individual patient needs and goals

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active PTA license in the state of Georgia (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a PTA
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic exercises and modalities
• Understanding of patient safety and infection control practices
• Proficient in documentation and electronic medical records
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach
