For more information, please visit and About the role: We are seeking a seasoned Retail Business Development Manager or Director to spearhead the development and execution of our retail strategy in North America. This role involves comprehensive planning, data analysis, marketing, and support initiatives to drive growth in the retail sector. As part of this position, you will collaborate closely with the COO, Director of Business Development, and digital marketing teams to devise and implement growth strategies. You will also manage your territory proactively, ensuring strategic goals are met and surpassed. Ideal candidates excel in consultative selling, are results-oriented, and bring innovative solutions to achieve and exceed annual sales targets. The role demands strong self-motivation, excellent organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A data-driven mindset, knowledge of digital marketing, and experience with omni-channel strategies are highly preferred. Main responsibilities will include: Lead the Retail Business Development Team: Drive the expansion of sales, ensure the maintenance and growth of our market position, and work to get our products into retail stores, with a particular focus on increasing the market presence of our products, especially fertility-related product lines. Develop and Execute Retail Strategy: Create and implement comprehensive retail strategies, utilizing both digital and traditional marketing approaches to grow the business and improve market presence. Full Accountability for Financial Results: Take full responsibility for the financial outcomes of the retail business development team, ensuring sales targets and profitability goals are met or exceeded. Proactively Identify New Opportunities: Actively seek out and engage potential customers within the assigned territory through social media, email, phone outreach, and collaboration with retail agencies to enhance market reach. Collaborate with Retail Agencies: Identify, select, and partner with retail agencies to develop strategies, retail design, and marketing initiatives aimed at increasing product visibility and driving sales growth in the retail space. Build Product Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of our diverse product portfolio, especially fertility-related products, and digitally innovative solutions, positioning yourself as a subject-matter expert. Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Logistics teams to align on marketing initiatives, product launches, and operational efforts. Manage Assigned Projects: Take ownership of any related projects or tasks assigned by supervisors or management. Digital and Omni-Channel Marketing Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of digital marketing techniques and experience working with omni-channel strategies to drive retail growth. Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, along with strong listening, presentation, and negotiation skills. Collaboration and Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, work collaboratively with marketing, product, logistics, and external partners to align business objectives and execute strategies. Retail Agency Management: Experience in identifying, selecting, and working with retail agencies on strategy development, retail design, and marketing initiatives. Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset, able to leverage insights to inform strategy and improve business outcomes. Adaptability and Quick Learning: Ability to quickly learn and adapt to changing market conditions and product dynamics, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach.
