Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a CVOR position requiring CVOR experience and Illinois RN licensure.

Details

• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team assignment within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00AM-5:00PM, with a rotating day off
• On-call responsibilities of 1-2 shifts per week and 1-2 weekends per 4-week period (Friday 5pm - Monday 7am)
• Holiday call assignments consist of a 24-hour call shift
• May float to General OR when not needed in the CV service line
• Required to remain in the department during shifts except for scheduled breaks

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
• CVOR experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Trauma Level 1 experience highly preferred
• Must be comfortable floating to General OR

Additional Information

• Prepares OR suite with necessary supplies, equipment, and medications for each case
• Performs patient identification, timeouts, and safety checks throughout the surgical process
• Positions and preps patients for procedures using appropriate techniques and equipment
• Provides intraoperative support to the surgical team including supplies, blood products, and specimens
• Transports patients to PACU and provides handoff report to the receiving RN
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• RTO may not exceed 7 total days during the 13-week contract
• Candidates who have worked at this health system continuously for more than 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning
