Travel X‑Ray Technologist — Bronx, NY

Start Date: 6/19

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (evening shift)

Schedule: 5 days/week (weekend and holiday coverage required)

Pay: $3,000 / week (gross)

Position Summary

Seeking a dependable Travel X‑Ray Technologist (Radiologic Technologist, ARRT‑R) for a 13‑week assignment in the Bronx. The ideal candidate delivers high‑quality diagnostic imaging, maintains equipment readiness, and provides excellent patient care across a high‑volume, fast‑paced department.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams (portable and fixed) per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Position patients, operate radiographic equipment, and ensure image quality.
• Prepare and maintain imaging rooms and portable units; troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards.
• Accurately document exams, patient history, and imaging findings in the EMR.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, nursing staff, and patients; assist with patient transfers as needed.
• Provide weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical radiography experience.
• ARRT (R) certification (required).
• BLS (current).
• Active New York state radiologic technologist license.
• Strong patient care, positioning, and image‑quality skills; reliable for evening/weekend/holiday shifts.

Preferred

• Prior travel technologist experience.
• Experience with portable radiography and trauma imaging.

Notes

• Pay listed is gross weekly.
• Facility may require additional credentialing, background checks, and orientation prior to start.
