Job Description

Role: Senior Estimator

Location: Northbrook, IL

Salary: Up to $180k DOE

A growing national commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its preconstruction team. Projects include hospitality, retail, office, industrial, multifamily, and mixed-use developments.

Responsibilities

Prepare conceptual and detailed project estimates and quantity take-offs
Develop budgets, GMPs, and subcontractor bid packages
Review plans, specifications, logistics, and project schedules
Solicit and analyze subcontractor/vendor pricing
Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
Attend client, architect, and project planning meetings
Maintain subcontractor relationships and historical pricing data

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
Civil and structural estimating experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
