Quality Assurance TechnicianQA Techs perform numerous essential functions to ensure the safety and quality of all raw and finished products used and produced by the plant. QA Techs also adhere to company policies, standard operating procedures, and customer regulations and specifications.QA Techs are champions of the quality and safety of our products. As a QA Tech and under the direction of the QA Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies by making sure all products meet or exceed all regulatory, company, and customer requirements as they relate to food safety.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain quality standards, including GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and allergen controlsSupport accurate HACCP and Control Point data collection and record-keepingMonitor cooking, chilling, and processing activities as well as identifying product that is not within specifications and place in rework binConduct audits, inspections, and testing to maintain quality standards and HACCP plansCommunicate effectively quality and food safety concerns to Production Manager and/or QA supervisorFollow and communicate safety and manufacturing processesComplete daily paperwork accurately and obtain supervisor signatureAdhere to company and department policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations, team member safety, and quality programsProficient knowledge in basic laboratory equipment and scalesAbility to read and write in order to draft reports, business correspondence, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manualsStrong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsDemonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and foster a positive work environment across all organizational levelsDisplay ownership, responsibility, good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulnessAbility to change, adapt and work well under pressure in a rapidly changing environmentDetail oriented with strong organization and time management skillsMust demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively, effectively adapting to both supervised and unsupervised tasksPerform other duties as assignedSkills:Apply concepts such as averages, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situationsWork in cold, hot, humid and/or wet environmentSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusAble to reach with hands and arms and use hands to handle or feel and talk or hearAble to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAble to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and stretch for extended periodsAbility to lift 50 poundsEducation and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent - At least 18 years old and a valid driver's licenseAssociates Degree or related experienceA minimum of 1 years' experience in Quality Assurance in Food ManufacturingBilingual - English/Spanish a plusBasic math skills and able to read and write in English functionallyComputer literate including Microsoft Office 365Pay: Depends on experience - Starting pay $16.00Benefits:Health InsuranceDental and Vision InsurancePaid time offSchedule:8-10-hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekend and night availability if applicableJob Type: Full-timeWork Location: On Site
