Respiratory Therapist

Position requires specialized knowledge in respiratory care. The clinician should have experience in pediatric critical care. Experience in a level 1 trauma facility is preferred. Responsibilities include aerosol set-ups, assisting in high-risk deliveries, and tracheostomy care. The clinician must be proficient in the interpretation of arterial blood gases. Skills in weaning from mechanical ventilation and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms are essential. The patient population includes neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. Weekly shift coverage includes weekends on a rotating basis. The facility emphasizes interdisciplinary support and rapid response teams. Special equipment used in this role includes servo ventilators and nitric oxide therapy. Travelers must adhere to compliance requirements and submission deadlines. Candidates must commit to fulfilling the terms of their agreement.
