Senior Accounting Manager
This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role with team leadership. You'll be the operational backbone of the close cycle, own day-to-day accounting operations, and partner closely with the CFO on the financial reporting package and audit. You'll have the freedom and support to implement automated workflows and see your impact across the organization. You'll be working in a modern stack: QuickBooks Online, Salesforce, Bill.com, Ramp, Concur, and Claude for AI-assisted workflows. Key responsibilities include managing accounting staff and contractors, owning the monthly and quarterly close cycle, day-to-day accounting operations, complex revenue recognition, preparation of financial reporting packages, annual audit support, design and implementation of automated close workflows, cross-functional partnership, and support for the CFO on board reporting and investor-facing materials.
Qualifications include accounting experience, public account experience in audit, 2+ years in industry, preferably at a technology or professional services company, hands-on month end close experience, working knowledge of revenue recognition under ASC 606, demonstrated ability to optimize processes, comfort with AI tools in a finance context, and strong written and verbal communication.
Expectations include executing a full close cycle end-to-end with CFO oversight, understanding how revenue is recognized across contract types, onboarding to all systems, executing the close on a tightened timeline, proposing close optimization ideas, delivering a clean monthly financial reporting package, beginning to transition work from external accounting vendors, compressing the close cycle, implementing meaningful automation or AI-assisted workflows, ensuring audit readiness documentation, documenting revenue recognition processes, and becoming a trusted finance partner to the business.
