Description 

The Made-to-Order Team Member is responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches and menu items with precision, speed, and consistency. This role prioritizes food safety, organization, efficiency, and cleanliness to ensure every product meets brand standards while supporting a smooth and fast kitchen operation.

Essential Duties 

• Prepare made-to-order sandwiches and menu items to standard

• Execute recipes with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Prioritize tickets effectively to maintain strong ticket times

• Prepare food items according to the Par sheet and production sheets

• Work with urgency while maintaining product quality standards
• Stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
• Support team members to ensure overall kitchen efficiency
• Maintain a consistently clean and sanitary workstation
• Clean as you go – minimize clutter and waste throughout shifts
• Ensure equipment, utensils, and surfaces are properly cleaned and sanitized
• Take ownership of the kitchen environment and food prep areas
• Follow all opening, shift, and closing cleaning procedures
• Assist with prep work, inventory, and stocking as needed
• Report potential safety hazards and all employee accidents to the supervisor
• Performs all other duties as requested or directed
• Prepare food items according to the Par sheet
• Ensure all items are labeled correctly
• Routinely clean kitchen areas, floors, and equipment; take out trash
• Break down and clean work area at the end of shift (stove top cleaned, sheet pans cleared and cleaned, dishes, sweep & mop floor, cover food, ensure food is put away properly, etc.)

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
• Dependable, punctual, and highly organized

• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed

• Team oriented mindset with strong communication skills

• Required to stand, walk, and lift items (up to 25 lbs.) on a regular basis

Education & Experience 

High school diploma or GED and one to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred (but not required)

Must be at least 18 years old to safely operate bakery machinery

Physical Requirements 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  The key physical requirements of this position include the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, bending, stooping, and able to lift up to 25 pounds. 

Position Type & Expected Hours of Work

This is a regular, part-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours will vary to include morning, evening, and weekend work according to business needs. (Weekends are required.)
