We own the work end to end, turning todays insights into tomorrows results, together./ppThe Underwriting and Portfolio Management organization is responsible for working with internal partners to underwrite new transactions and manage the existing portfolio of loans. Supporting our Business Cards Payments business, our Underwriters and Portfolio Managers balance supporting resilient growth while ensuring we have a scalable, well-managed business./ppAs a Sr. Manager in this space, you demonstrate subject matter expertise in credit risk management and are expected to perform responsibilities independently. In addition to your own job duties, you may play a leadership role across deal teams by guiding and shaping more junior associates. You are trusted with the most complex transactions and to solve unique problems because of your experience and job specific skills./ppPrimary underwriting responsibilities may include:/pulliLead new originations and scheduled review process and calls; evaluate deals to draw relevant conclusions on material strengths, risks, and mitigants/liliDevelop junior team members in financial statement analysis and cash flow analysis/liliPrepare and review financial models independently/liliCoordinate with deal team on appropriate structuring options or overrides to financial models/liliWrite and prepare all parts of the credit approval document; may serve as second approver for members of the team; take a leadership role in conversations with internal partners/liliOversee closing process requirements; review closing memo/liliInteract directly with customers to articulate credit decisions or conduct further due diligence/liliDrive overall deal process and lead communication with internal and external constituents; constructively improve deal process/liliDelegate spreading and risk ratings to analysts or contractor teams/liliPrepare and/or review profitability models independently; understand drivers for pricing model outputs and consider areas for increasing returns/li/ulpPrimary portfolio or asset management responsibilities may include:/pulliManage a portfolio of accounts independently; review and monitor portfolio accounts health and performance against expectations; drive customer retention/liliProactively anticipate issues, draw parallels from other accounts to own account; resolve problem accounts in partnership with other teams and specialists/liliComplete annual reviews and both material and non-material modifications independently and on time/liliFacilitate and lead ad hoc and quarterly portfolio reviews/liliEnsure compliance with credit policies and procedures for existing accounts/liliRespond to requests from all internal and external stakeholders/liliEnsure portfolio data is accurate, timely, and complete to ensure strong quality and reporting capabilities/li/ulpAdditional Responsibilities may include:/pulliBuild relationships across function and business to foster collaboration between partner groups/liliInteract directly with customers to cultivate strong relationships while balancing risk and return/liliInterpret data into actionable reporting/liliParticipate in internal initiatives to ensure the business is well-managed and operates efficiently/li/ulpBasic Qualifications:/pulliBachelors Degree or Military Experience/liliAt least 5 years of experience in credit underwriting, portfolio or asset management/liliAt least 2 years of people leadership experience or at least 2 years of peer coaching experience/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliBachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance/lili7+ years of experience in credit underwriting, portfolio or asset management/lili1+ years of Process Management experience/li/ul/div
