What You'll Do As a Quality Technician, you will help uphold the highest standards of product quality by: Collecting and testing in-process and finished product samples to verify quality and food safety compliance. Performing analytical testing including pH analysis, wet chemistry procedures, and basic microbiological testing. Operating laboratory equipment and utilizing proper pipetting techniques to generate accurate and reliable results. Recording and documenting test results in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Assisting with daily laboratory activities to support efficient operations and workflow. Participating in sensory and organoleptic (taste) evaluations of dairy products. Maintaining a clean, organized, and audit-ready laboratory environment. Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance. Conducting occasional environmental monitoring activities, including air sampling and quality checks within the production facility. What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and food safety. Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain consistent testing practices. Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Availability to work 3rd Shift (Monday-Friday, 8:00 PM-4:00 AM). Ability and willingness to participate in dairy product taste testing as part of quality evaluations. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related scientific field. Basic laboratory knowledge, including sample handling, laboratory equipment, and testing procedures. Previous laboratory, quality assurance, or food manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with microbiological testing and wet chemistry techniques. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of O Fallon, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
