CAD Designer III

CAD Designer III is responsible for producing project deliverables for transmission and distribution pipelines (FERC and state regulated), regulating and metering stations, natural gas well pads, compressor stations, gas processing, pump stations, and other types of surveying projects. Essential Tasks And Responsibilities Prepare pipeline easement plats, permits and alignment sheets using Skyline and Civil3d. Prepare project deliverables for all types of survey projects including E & P well plats, Unit plats and well staking drawings. Work closely with CAD Manager on maintaining quality of mapping deliverables. Collaborate with survey technician and mapping leads on meeting project deadlines. Work as a fully competent and independent mapper supporting all aspects of the project. Effectively communicate problems/project issues to the project team and project managers. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements CST I required, CST II or III preferred. 7-10 years CAD work experience with progressive degrees of skill and responsibility. Strong survey background. Blue Sky Certification for Skyline or ability to become certified. Proficiency in Civil 3D AutoCAD software. Proficiency in Global Mapper or ArcMap. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience developing CAD standards and training others on utilization of such. Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player. Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily. Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted). Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures. Is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
