Program Manager, International Projects

Red Cat Holdings is currently in growth mode and seeks a Customer Facing Program Manager (PM) for the execution of its uncrewed systems business with customers throughout the Asia‑Pacific region. Our Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) compliant products are used in both military and civilian/commercial markets and include Group1 Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), First Person View (FPV) UAS, and Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USV). Managed contracts and programs vary from $100K to over $50M, and the role will often oversee multiple programs concurrently. You will be responsible for the successful execution of complex customer programs, overseeing cost, schedule, and technical performance across the full program lifecycle. You will work cross‑functionally, serving as the primary interface to external customers, resellers, U.S. and international government customers, and will act as the central point of accountability for program delivery and customer satisfaction. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end execution of customer programs, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and performance objectives Work with Contracts, Legal, Export Compliance, Engineering, Production, and corporate leadership to meet contractual schedule and quality requirements while adhering to export compliance constraints, with regular written status reporting Manage the successful delivery of unmanned systems hardware, data, and services against orders secured Maintain irreproachable integrity; demonstrate initiative, accountability, and sound judgment Demonstrate proven experience in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and program‑management disciplines Show proven leadership skills, including change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, accountability, and quarterly reviews Drive business resource planning/tracking in coordination with engineering, operations, finance, shipping, compliance, business operations, and business development teams, and form a team capable of meeting program requirements Ensure program issues are identified, tracked, and resolved to achieve program success Conduct routine meetings, research/fact‑finding, and negotiate/interact with product/program stakeholders Collaborate with Business Development and regional Sales Representatives/Reseller networks to facilitate Co‑Manufacturing enterprises in major countries of opportunity Support BD in new business capture, providing pricing and proposal support, leading flight demonstrations at or near the factory, and supporting BD‑led customer meetings at the factory, customer locations, or tradeshows Establish and manage program controls, metrics, and success criteria Identify, assess, mitigate, and report program‑level risks and issues Lead program reviews and execution meetings with customers and executive leadership Manage scope changes and communicate impacts to internal leadership and customers Monitor and analyze data across programs to identify trends and drive continuous improvement Establish and communicate program priorities across cross‑functional teams Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and compliance requirements Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of relevant Project Management experience in aerospace/defense companies with hardware products International PM experience in aerospace/defense Knowledge of export processes and end‑user certificate requirements Willingness to take calculated risks and lead through ambiguity Collaborative, results‑driven, and proactive Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, high‑growth organizations Relevant experience creating Statement of Work, Work Breakdown Structure, and Gantt charts Proficiency with scheduling software and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong knowledge of U.S. and international (APAC) government procurement processes and prime contractor relationships Proficiency in program‑management methods, tools, and best practices Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and government/commercial customers Self‑starter: already knows what needs to be done and works with the team to prioritize, set goals, and manage constraints Strong written and verbal communication skills Willingness to travel up to 25%; some international travel (10%–25%) typically not longer than one week at a time Primary work location is Teal Drones’ Salt Lake City, Utah facility; hybrid work negotiable Active U.S. passport required Cleared/clearable to U.S. Department of War SECRET Eligible to access controlled technical data subject to ITAR and EAR regulations (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or those with protected status) Additional Desired Qualifications Semi‑fluent in a regional language (Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Thai, Malay, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Khmer, Indonesian, Malay) Familiarity with APAC regional cultural norms through prior international work or travel, or other life experience Experience with U.S. and international government agencies Understanding of U.S. Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and related organizations Opportunity Capture Management experience Experience with Microsoft Dynamics customer‑relationship management tool Experience interacting with product development teams Physical Requirements And Working Conditions Must be able to walk, stand, and navigate large indoor and outdoor facilities for extended periods of time Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment up to 25lbs regularly May be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) per safety protocols and company policy when required May climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch during inspections, maintenance walk‑throughs, or emergency response situations Regular exposure to facility operations (noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, industrial equipment) Occasional off‑hours or weekend work for emergency facility responses or projects as needed Requires frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment for documentation, communication, and coordination tasks Background Check This position will require successfully completing a post‑offer background check.
