Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant - Oakland, California We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join one of our clients in Oakland, California. This role is 100% in-office. Employment Type: Temp to Perm Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour Responsibilities Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, collections, and vendor payments. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax planning and filings. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits. Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff. Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a proven track record as a Senior Accountant. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. Experience with a medium to large ERP is preferred. Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel. Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with the manufacturing industry is a plus.
