Purchasing Assistant
Established in 1987, Triad Metals is a privately held, independent company that has grown to become one of the premier wholesale distributors and processors of structural steel, tubing, pipe, piling and plate products. With six locations in the United States and Canada, Triad metals is actively hiring for a Purchasing Assistant for our office located in Horsham, Pennsylvania.
At the core of our company's mission is the importance of strong relationships that extend from our teammates within the organization to our vendors and customers alike. These vital relationships allow us to achieve maximum efficiency in our operations and service. The need to innovate and constantly look ahead is another guiding principle of our team.
Triad is looking for a motivated individual to join the purchasing team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and strong attention to detail. The ability to work under pressure is a must for this fast-paced environment. This is an entry level position so no prior experience is necessary.
Successful Candidates will be expected to:
- Accurately understand and communicate prices and availability of steel to salespeople
- Issue purchase orders to vendors for steel products and services
- Verify the accuracy of order acknowledgments
- Assist AP in approving invoices for payment
- Monitor inventory levels
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications/Required Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Good organization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
