• Lead and support a small production team, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output
• Review work orders and packaging specs to ensure accuracy and readiness for production
• Operate and monitor production equipment and manufacturing systems
• Use handheld scanning tools to track inventory, production, and materials in real time
• Coordinate team schedules, breaks, and workflows to keep production running smoothly
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
• Oversee quality checks and documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and product loss
• Lead shift transitions with clear communication and updates
• Train and cross-train team members to build a strong, flexible workforce
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and enforce sanitation and safety standards

• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or a similar environment
• Previous experience leading or supervising a small team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Comfortable using manufacturing software, handheld scanners, and computers
• A solid understanding of food safety, quality standards, and GMP practices
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to act quickly and effectively
• Basic math skills and attention to detail for accurate production tracking

Bonus Skills:

• Experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments
• Familiarity with HACCP programs and inventory systems (like Mapics)
• Experience in continuous improvement or process optimization
• Interest in advancing into higher-level leadership roles

You’ll work in a modern food manufacturing facility with a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. The environment is structured and fast-paced, with small teams working together across multiple production lines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Elk Grove Village,IL.
