Position Overview Kings View is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to provide leadership and oversight for nursing services within the program. This position is responsible for supervising licensed nursing staff, directing clinical workflows, and ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards. The Nursing Supervisor serves as a key member of the leadership team, exercising independent judgment in managing staff performance, overseeing patient care delivery, and contributing to program development. Key Responsibilities Supervise, evaluate, and support nursing staff, including participation in hiring, training, performance management, and corrective action. Provide leadership in daily nursing operations, including assignment of duties, oversight of workflows, and resolution of staffing issues. Oversee patient care provided by staff, ensuring adherence to treatment plans, medication protocols, and quality standards. Conduct chart audits and ensure compliance with documentation, productivity, and billing requirements. Serve as the primary liaison between nursing staff, program leadership, physicians, and community providers. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to improve the quality and efficiency of nursing services. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation regulations as well as Kings View’s standards of care. Lead health and hygiene education initiatives for patients, families, and staff. Provide consultation and guidance in crisis situations, supporting staff in implementing de‑escalation and intervention strategies. Participate in program leadership meetings, quality improvement projects, and designated committees. Contribute to program development and strategic planning by identifying needs, recommending solutions, and implementing process improvements. Maintain active licensure with the California Board of Nursing as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT). Model professional standards of practice, cultural humility, and adherence to the organization’s compliance code of conduct. What You’ll Bring High School Diploma or equivalent Graduate of an accredited LVN/LPT nursing program Valid and current California LVN, LPT, or RN license Valid California Driver’s License (Class C) Minimum of 3 years prior experience working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting. At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience, including staff oversight, scheduling, and performance management. Experience in administering medications, conducting patient assessments, and providing direct care and health education is essential. Must have the ability to assess and respond to the physical and behavioral health needs of patients effectively.
