Job Description
The Driver Mover plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe transport of customers' possessions. Working within small local teams, this position involves driving company vehicles, handling loading and unloading duties, packing items securely, and maintaining clear and courteous customer interactions. The Driver Mover reports to both a moving supervisor and a fleet manager and often travels frequently within the city with occasional out-of-town trips.
Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles safely to and from job sites
- Load and unload furniture and belongings with care
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain positive and professional communication with customers
- Follow safety protocols and compliance guidelines
- Handle moving equipment efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in moving and driving
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Demonstrated safe driving practices
- Strong customer service skills
- Effective time management abilities
- Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of loading and unloading techniques
