Project Equipment Manager

Overview Project Equipment Manager – This position oversees the planning, maintenance, and management of the company’s equipment fleet, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across all operations. The role also provides leadership and direction to the maintenance team, promoting professional growth, accountability, and a strong culture of safety and collaboration. All Construction Division offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen. In accordance with client requirements, security clearance is required and is determined based on background check results. Responsibilities Prioritize safety and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company health, safety, and environmental regulations. Develop and manage short- and long-term equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Oversee the purchase, sale, maintenance, and utilization of the equipment fleet to ensure reliability, longevity, and cost efficiency. Understand parts and service manuals to facilitate accurate diagnostics and timely repairs. Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and team performance. Train, mentor, and develop entry-level maintenance staff to strengthen the team’s capabilities. Foster effective communication across all levels of the organization, including field crews, project management, and leadership teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Construction Management, Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology. 15+ years of experience in equipment management or a related field. Proficiency with Spectrum and HCSS . Ability to prioritize multiple projects and maintain exceptional attention to detail. Knowledge of cranes, barges, and marine construction equipment is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Willingness to travel and relocate as required. Follow all safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Be flexible and adaptable to varying work schedules, including overtime and weekends as required. Ability to work in diverse locations and varying environmental conditions.
