The role will be responsible for developing and implementing predictive, proactive methods and processes in order to maximize the operating capacity and efficiency of all manufacturing equipment and related systems including air and electricity. Responsibilities Provide leadership, including training and development, to maintenance department associates working across multiple shifts.Develop and execute strategies to improve the reliability and operating effectiveness of all manufacturing processesMaintain records of all preventive maintenance process along with records of fixed assets for the facilityDevelop and manage appropriate metrics to provide feedback on equipment effectiveness and maintenance labor productivityUtilize root cause identification/failure analysis and corrective actions for maintenance related failuresDevelop and manage a budget for all plant maintenance, utility, and departmental costsInstill discipline and accountability to comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards as set forth under regulatory agencies and the companyCoordinate and provide oversight in the use of outside contractorsManage capital improvement projects related to the building and grounds including scope and specifications, quoting, project implementation and oversight, and cost management Qualifications 5 years or more of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment, including CNC lathes, mills, and grindersStrong planning and organization skills and attention to detailWorking knowledge of Computer Based Maintenance Management Systems a plusDemonstrated implementation of predictive and proactive maintenance methods and processesExcellent leadership and organizational skills to lead, motivate, and develop personnel and to foster an environment of cooperation and continuous improvementDegree in Engineering or Manufacturing discipline requiredSnap-on is a drug-free work environment and welcomes all qualified candidates to apply.
