Registered Nurse - Telemetry | Travel | Milwaukee, WI Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Telemetry unit in a Med Surg setting. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of acute care experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing patients with conditions like CHF, AFib, and post-cath lab care. Candidates should be skilled in IV and ostomy care, as well as drip management.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with chest pain, CHF, AFib, among other conditions
• Admit and discharge 2-3 patients daily
• Manage patient drips, including heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone
• Work collaboratively with unit support such as charge nurse, unit secretary, and hospitalist
• Document pain levels and ensure appropriate pain management

Qualifications

Required:

• BLS Certification
• Experience with ostomy care, drains, and IV skills
• Basic Med-Surg skills

Preferred:

• Experience in observation units
• Proficiency in admissions and discharges
