Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize the comfort and safety of patients during procedures, ensuring transparency and empathy in every explanation
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver high-caliber diagnostic images
• Ensure optimal operation and upkeep of imaging technologies, reporting any equipment issues swiftly
• Maintain meticulous documentation of procedures and manage patient records through the electronic medical system
• Stay abreast of advancements in ultrasound methodologies and industry best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a relevant field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is strongly preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification desired

Skills Needed
