As a Registered Nurse in our Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, you will have access to all the staffing support, technology, and resources necessary to deliver safe, high-quality care, allowing you to concentrate on your core responsibilities.
Job Overview and QualificationsIn the role of Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Registered Nurse (RN), your primary duties will include conducting assessments, formulating care plans, and implementing as well as evaluating patient care. You will oversee, monitor, and assess the care provided by non-licensed staff. Collaborating with your team, you will ensure the safe and precise delivery of patient care while performing various technical services to meet patient needs. Additionally, you will handle patient specimen testing, quality control, and equipment upkeep.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:- Conducting patient assessments before, during, and after procedures.
- Working with interdisciplinary team members to create, assess, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Maintaining a safe and sterile environment in the Electrophysiology Lab.
- Administering medications and executing treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Ensuring the availability of all necessary supplies and maintaining equipment.
- Confirming that a physician has documented the patient's history and physical examination prior to procedures.
- Settling patients post-procedure and providing the receiving Registered Nurse with detailed reports.
- Coordinating the interdisciplinary team’s response during emergencies.
- Facilitating patient discharge plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary teams.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- Must hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Possession of an Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing.
