Description

Golden Touch is seeking a trend-savvy, visionary Design Director to lead our Intimates category from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to shape the creative identity of a new category within an established company, bringing fresh energy, innovative silhouettes, and fashion relevance to the intimate's space.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on creative leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands the nuances of fit and fabrication in intimates, and is excited to build and inspire a new design team. You'll work alongside the company's existing leadership while spearheading design and development for a forward-thinking, commercially strong assortment.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the design direction for all Intimates categories, from initial concept through final production
• Conduct in-depth trend research and competitive analysis to inform seasonal assortments that are both fashion-forward and market-relevant
• Design collections that merge creativity with commercial viability, ensuring alignment with brand goals and growth targets
• Oversee the creation of tech packs and development briefs; collaborate closely with CAD, Tech, and Production teams
• Attend fittings, evaluate samples, and approve lab dips, prints, and trims to maintain quality and design intent
• Collaborate with sourcing and merchandising teams to ensure timely development and execution
• Stay ahead of consumer and industry shifts, identifying white space and emerging trends
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative studio culture

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on design experience in intimates and/or sleepwear, preferably within trend-driven or contemporary brands
• Strong creative vision and proven ability to design into fast-fashion or youth-driven markets
• Expertise in fit, fabric, construction, and the unique requirements of intimate's design
• Experience working with overseas vendors and managing development timelines
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; familiarity with PLM systems is a plus
• Strong leadership and communication skills; prior team management or readiness to step into a leadership role is essential
• Entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to balance vision, execution, and team building

New York Pay Rate $100,000.00 - $140,000.00
