We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Events Operation Manager to join our dedicated team. As part of the Endicott College community, we offer a collaborative and professional environment that celebrates creativity and teamwork while delivering exceptional service.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordination and Implementation of Events:Manage logistics for various event types, including:Weddings, personal and corporate socialsDay and multi-day meetings, overnight programsMisselwood hosted event and College/Internal eventsProvide unparalleled service throughout the coordinator and implementation processServe as the trusted point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless communication and capturing detailed requirements for housing, catering, alcohol service and AV needs.Collaborate with internal departments to flawlessly execute each event, creating excellent guest and customer experiences.Provide exceptional on-site management for meetings, social events and overnight programs, ensuring client satisfactionOversee and ensure timely preparation and delivery of billing documentation.Day to Day Operations:Oversee the quality and consistency of day-to-day operations to maintain high standards.Manage bar and summer inventory, ensuring preparedness, accuracy and readiness.Assist with supervising and mentoring of seasonal staff, fostering a collaborative and professional team environment.Other Duties:Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends to enhance operational processes.Perform additional duties, operational responsibilities, and special projects as assigned or needed.Requirements/QualificationsBachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of professional experience planning and executing events, includingweddings, corporate, and social gatherings.Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Experience supervising and training staff, including seasonal teams, to ensure high standards of service and professionalism.Exceptional customer service skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and remain composed under pressure.Proficiency in Google Workspace and adaptability to new platforms.Ability to take initiative, think proactively, and maintain professionalism during stressful situations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Commitment to timely and respectful communication, including responding to emails and voicemails.ServeSafe, Crowd Manager, and AED/CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.Availability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours as needed.Core CompetenciesReliability - Dependable and engaged with the work, the team, and Misselwood/Endicott College.Organization - Efficiently manages time and resources to meet deadlines.Communication Skills - Clear, effective communicator both orally and in writing.Adaptability - Open to new ideas and willing to approach tasks differently.Follow Through -Takes ownership of projects and ensures successful completion.Customer Service -Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service. Endicott College considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, education, specialized skills, internal equity, and external market data when extending an offer.
