Supply Distribution Technician

Schedule Missouri Baptist Hospital is seeking a Supply Distribution Technician. Schedule: M-F 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM Overview BJC HealthCare is one of the largest nonprofit healthcare organizations in the United States. It delivers inpatient and outpatient care, primary care, and community health services across 14 hospitals and multiple locations. The supply chain organization plays a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the necessary supplies while managing costs through integrated processes, contract management, and procurement. Role Purpose Oversee daily management, receipt, and distribution of materials—including supplies, equipment, and linen—for multiple departments throughout the hospital and network. Responsibilities also include supply room and warehouse cleaning and organization, customer service for department staff, review of item par levels and usage with leadership, bin optimization, material ordering, receiving, stocking, and aiding in manufacturer recall investigations. The role includes training, mentoring, and developing new Supply Technicians and performing other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Understand lean supply philosophy and perform basic analytics using Microsoft products and other supply‑chain management tools. Verify correct items and quantities during material receiving, process receipts in the inventory management system, and tag/label and stage items for delivery. Review reports and collaborate with department staff to adjust par levels, coordinate improvement opportunities, and implement and maintain the standardized community supply model. Provide daily oversight of material functions while ensuring a safety‑focused environment that complies with BJC, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards; perform housekeeping in supply rooms. Process stock and non‑stock orders in the inventory management system, coordinate with procurement to resolve order issues, discrepancies, match exceptions, recalls, and returns to vendors.
