Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients employing standardized assessments alongside observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that tackle both immediate and long-term cognitive, communication, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions targeting aspects such as voice, fluency, language, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage in productive collaborations with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure integrated care solutions.
• Facilitate education for patients and their families to support therapeutic advancements beyond clinical engagements.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity throughout the rehabilitation journey.
• Ensure that documentation is precise and adheres to state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Stay abreast of developments in speech therapy via ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• The Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly desirable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
