Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse ER (Adult) provides high-acuity emergency care for adult and geriatric patients while supporting rapid triage, stabilization, and treatment. This role requires confident assessment, critical interventions, and accurate charting using EPIC.

Responsibilities:

• Perform emergency triage and ongoing assessments for adult and geriatric patients.
• Administer and manage IV therapy, including blood products, central line care, phlebotomy, and IV initiation/maintenance.
• Manage critical respiratory support, including CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator care.
• Monitor cardiac status and interpret/manage dysrhythmias during acute presentations.
• Provide stroke and neuro-trauma focused care (e.g., CVA, spinal cord injury, TBI) and implement isolation precautions as indicated.
• Float within skillset and collaborate with the ED team to deliver timely, safe patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active New York Single State RN license (non-compact).
• Possess BLS and ACLS certification, plus a valid NIHSS card for submittal.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of recent ER/acute emergency experience.
• Show proficiency with EPIC charting (EPIC experience required).
• Competently administer IV vasopressors and manage rapid infuser workflows.
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as needed.
