Behavior Therapist Position Merrimack Autism Consultants is currently hiring part‑time experienced Behavior Therapists (BT) to provide 1:1 in‑home ABA services. In‑home sessions are typically held between 2:30 pm and 8:30 pm; some morning or weekend sessions may be available. Applicants must be available to work an average minimum of 10–19 hours per week. Rate of pay will commensurate based on level of education and years of experience. Behavior Therapist Responsibilities Work 1:1 directly with clients with autism using individualized ABA techniques created by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Provide support and guidance for the parent/caregiver implementing the behavior plan tactics when the BT/BCBA are not in the home. Collect data focused on skills and behaviors, conduct discrete trials daily to ensure the client's progress is monitored and objectives are met according to the individualized plan. Communicate in a timely manner any concerns and progress to both the client's family and supervisor. Complete the 40‑hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training, sit for and pass the RBT exam within 90 days of hire. What do we offer? Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. 18 years old or older with reliable, consistent transportation. Ability to pass a background check and authorized to work within the U.S. 6+ months of experience as a Behavioral Therapist or similar position. Commitment to serve clients for at least 6 months. Bilingual (Creole speaking) to support language needs. Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children/adolescents with autism and other developmental disabilities, driven to make a difference. CPR certified (timeline of 2 weeks after hire). Not Required But Preferred Qualifications Associate's Degree in Human Services, Education or Psychology; Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis or Social Psychology. Registered Behavior Technician with an active certification with the BACB and/or at least 6 months working with children with autism. Previous professional experience in human services, developmental disabilities, or education fields—teachers, paraprofessionals, day programs, group home caretakers.
