Senior Java Identity and Access Management (IdAM) Developer

About the role

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Identity and Access Management Developer to join our client in Washington, DC. This on-site role supports critical law enforcement technology systems focused on combating terrorism, cyberattacks, and major criminal threats. The ideal candidate is experienced in Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite and Java development, with a strong background in designing and maintaining complex IdAM solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to national security by enhancing identity management infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain Identity and Access Management systems.
• Develop and enhance IdAM software workflows and configure COTS software.
• Perform patching and system updates on Oracle, Windows, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux platforms.
• Write and verify scripts in Bash, PowerShell, Java, and JSON.
• Maintain Oracle IAM products, including OAM, OIM, OVD, and OID.
• Document technical designs, engineering approaches, and strategies.
• Provide knowledge transfer and hands-on training to team members.
• Review and improve existing procedures, including automation of manual processes.
• Configure and implement Role and Attribute-Based Access Control Policies.

Job Requirements

• Current Top-Secret Clearance with the capability to obtain SCI / CI-Poly.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven expertise in Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite (OIM, OAM, OUD, OVD).
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE development and web services (SOAP, REST).
• Experience designing and implementing IDM solutions, including user provisioning, SSO, and RBAC.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python for automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: Professional certifications in Oracle IDM or IAM-related fields.
