Fleet MechanicOverall Duties: The Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for the full range of fleet services for the shop, trucks, trailers and autos. Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a safe, efficient, quality minded and customer focused manner under minimal supervision. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications. Proper use and care of all company tools. Clean service areas, tools and instruments and return them to their proper location.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Inspect and repair all company vehicles both diesel and gasoline.*Perform required inspections (including annual DOT inspections). Maintenance and repairs, on all trucks, trailers, autos, forklifts and other equipment*Maintenance includes fluid and filter changes, lubrications, sensor cleaning and replacement, tire rotations and replacements, clutch inspection and adjustment, inspect, test clean and replace batteries, valve adjustments, safety inspections, and brake repairs.*Keep shop equipment operation by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and keeping equipment put up out of the elements. Verify that equipment complies with federal and state vehicle requirements and safety standards.*Perform repair work on trucks and trailers such as breakdowns, malfunctions and emergency roadside repair in a safe, efficient, and quality manner.*Perform operational tests prior to repairs to verify complaint.*Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturers' specifications including engines, transmissions and clutches, after treatment systems, suspension and steering, fuel and ignition, electrical systems, brakes, and HVAC system.*Keep up to date files and ensure the company is in compliance with DOT regulations.Requirements:*Prioritize and react to demands*Physically able to bend, twist, stoop and kneel*Clean MVR *Background check, pre-employment physical, drug screen*Able to be on call when needed.*Provide own tools.
