Assistant Professor (Summa/Akron City - Geriatrics) Position Type: Faculty Department: Pharmacy Practice Full or Part Time: Full Time Pay Grade: 2 Summary This full time, shared faculty position will be co‑funded by Summa Health System, Akron City Hospital and NEOMED. Principal Functional Responsibilities Teaching Faculty responsibilities will include campus‑based education such as small/large group teaching, student applicant interviews, assessments/evaluations, and student advising. Scholarship All faculty are expected to participate in producing scholarly work, which may include clinical and/or outcomes research, review articles, book chapters, case reports and more. Presentations at local, regional and national meetings will be expected. Service Participation on departmental, College, and University committees is expected. In addition, faculty members are expected to be active in local, state and national professional organizations. Qualifications Pharm.D. Completion of a PGY1 residency or equivalent experience Eligible for licensure in Ohio Preferred Qualifications: PGY2 training in Geriatrics is preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and screen and other office equipment.
