Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- At least 1 year of recent, full-time equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field
- Preferred: 5+ years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Preferred: High-risk OB and high-risk Labor & Delivery experience
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, skilled Labor & Delivery nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Support high-risk deliveries using strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and teamwork
- Assist physicians and interdisciplinary care teams during labor and delivery procedures
- Educate and reassure patients and families throughout the birth experience
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow best practices for patient safety and quality care
