Buyer (Level 3) - Contract Role | Automotive Purchasing & Supply Chain | SAP Required Looking to put your procurement expertise to work in a fast-paced automotive and R&D environment? We are seeking a Buyer (L3) to support purchasing, supplier coordination, and prototype/engineering parts management. This contract role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who thrives in a high-change, cross-functional environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage purchase orders (POs), supplier communications, and procurement workflows Support the sourcing and purchasing of automotive and prototype parts Interpret CAD drawings to identify part specifications and requirements (no CAD editing required) Coordinate with engineering, design, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely material availability Track multiple open orders and ensure accuracy across procurement systems Support supplier negotiations, follow-ups, and delivery performance tracking Maintain compliance with purchasing processes, documentation, and internal standards Use SAP and related tools to manage purchasing and supplier transactions Provide clear communication and status updates across teams and vendors Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or contract management experience SAP experience required (Ariba/SAP Business Network preferred) Experience working with CAD drawings and automotive/prototype parts Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general technical software skills Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through skills Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience: Automotive industry background strongly preferred Prior experience supporting engineering or R&D teams Familiarity with Honda or similar OEM environments a plus Employee Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plans Health Savings Account (HSA) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking AccountsAD&D Insurance People Perks Program Advantage Technical is an equal opportunity employer.
