Job Description

This role oversees the full shipping and receiving process, including handling incoming parts and supplies, restocking inventory, preparing outgoing customer orders, and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. You work to meet aggressive deadlines while maintaining a strong customer focus, using creativity and initiative to solve problems and keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming parts, materials, and supplies, verify accuracy against packing lists, and ensure proper documentation.
• Restock Kanban bins and other inventory locations to maintain appropriate stock levels and support continuous production flow.
• Prepare outgoing customer shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging orders for carrier pickup.
• Coordinate with vendors and carriers to track shipment status, resolve delivery issues, and ensure on-time arrivals and departures.
• Process domestic and international shipments in compliance with applicable procedures, regulations, and documentation requirements.
• Use UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipping systems and processes to generate labels, schedule pickups, and manage freight details.
• Operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment to move, load, and unload boxes and pallets safely.
• Lift, move, and organize boxes and materials in the warehouse to maintain an orderly and efficient work area.
• Use computer systems, including shipping software and enterprise systems such as Vantage, to enter data and track shipments.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles where possible to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline shipping and receiving activities.
• Communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners to provide shipment status updates and resolve issues.
• Perform additional duties as required to support overall warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations.

Essential Skills

• 1–3 years of domestic and international shipping experience.
• Knowledge of international shipping procedures and required documentation.
• Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipping processes.
• Ability to lift boxes and handle physical tasks associated with shipping, receiving, and warehouse distribution.
• Experience in shipping and receiving within a warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders and documentation.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills, including use of shipping software and enterprise systems; experience with Vantage is preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet aggressive deadlines while maintaining a strong customer focus.
• Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
• Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and show initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and tasks at once.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse environment without air conditioning, where you work on-site from Monday through Friday, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You handle physical tasks such as lifting boxes and operating pallet jacks, and you work around shipping equipment and computer systems used for UPS, FedEx, LTL, and enterprise applications like Vantage. The facility maintains a clean work area, and you can expect a hands-on, fast-paced setting focused on efficient shipping and receiving operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LOVELAND, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
