Job Summary:

Provides specialized occupational therapy services to patients with cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders, focusing on rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary interventions. Collaborates with healthcare teams to develop and adjust treatment plans aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Screen and evaluate patients to identify cognitive and physical functioning disorders, developing appropriate care plans in accordance with regulatory standards.
  
  
• 
  Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to guide clinical interventions and support patient progress.
  
  
• 
  Administer therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive devices to promote functional independence.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient progress, document treatment outcomes, and modify interventions based on evaluations and referrals.
  
  
• 
  Provide consultation and education to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding treatment plans and physical disorders.
  
  
• 
  Support supervision and training of occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students as required.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid OT license in Missouri.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of one year of occupational therapy experience, including LTC or Rehab settings.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in evaluating and treating patients with cognitive and ADL disorders.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong communication skills and ability to document clinical information accurately.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to NBCOT, AOTA, and state practice acts, along with ethical standards.
